Buy a track set of the brand of your choosing, or maybe 2. You get everything you need to get started right inside one box. I always recommend the biggest set you can afford. The big sets come with the most amount of track, and some come with a lap counter and or some borders, both of which you will want. If you buy 2 or more sets, not only do you get more cars and track, you get spare powers supplies and controllers. Its always good to have spares of both of these items, and I also recommend individual power supplies for each lane. There is a lot of value when you buy a track set.
